Janet qualified as a therapeutic social worker in 1993. Her work has involved supporting children and families in many different settings, including supporting families seeking asylum, along with vulnerable women who have experienced domestic abuse and violence. In 2017 Janet trained as a mindfulness teacher as a part of a project to promote wellbeing in schools for children, young people and staff. She also manages a project for women providing practical and emotional support during pregnancy, birth and beyond. She is a trained clinical hypnotherapist and hypnobirthing practitioner. She feels that discoverying Havening has been a wonderful journey and she is looking forward to incorporating it into the breadth of her work. She is particularly excited about the potential of using Havening during pregnancy and birth. She is based in Yorkshire UK but also work online worldwide.
